1. Key Player Palmer Fit for High-Stakes London Derby with Arsenal

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is set to return for the team's important top-flight encounter against London rivals Arsenal.

The young England international had been sidelined due to a broken toe sustained after an accidental incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca declared. “Everyone is happy.”

This season, Palmer has been limited to four outings in every contest, netting two goals.

After joining from City in 2023, he has achieved 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 appearances for Chelsea.

“He is our top performer, we are pleased he is back, we need to give him time to be 100% fit,” Maresca continued. “He has been brilliant historically and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

Gueye promptly expressed regret, and the teammates were seen making up later in a mock online video.

However, the appeal against the dismissal was turned down, and Gueye must serve a three-game suspension, making Everton shorthanded for their upcoming match against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager David Moyes stated. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

When asked about more issues from the incident, Moyes remarked: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we moved on swiftly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

Additionally, the defender will be out of action for a four-week period with a hamstring issue.

The Hammers will welcome back Lucas Paquetá after his ban, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are stepping up their return from fitness issues.

Fifth Story: Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Nottingham Forest against Brighton

The club's manager Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the side's home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend.

“It’s like a bad back, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just rest awkwardly or twist funny. So we’re not expecting, at this point anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s easing already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be fine for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 Europa League win, but Dyche indicated the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to miss out.
