Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term coach his previous coach.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
Success also means he has secured 21 titles at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my children at once, so to win a title is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in that event previously this season.
His defensive strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.
However the player has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial tour championship, gained dominance to create a final set.
The opponent rescued 4 early-game chances in a competitive final set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, he clinched the title with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
