Nearly 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland were left lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events swept through the state, producing powerful gusts hitting 109 kilometers per hour.

Large Frozen Precipitation and Broad Damage

Homeowners witnessed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.

Damp conditions were expected to linger along large portions of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.

Tomorrow was forecast to be the wettest day, with persistent thunderstorm potential anticipated across various areas of both states.
