Two Victims Identified in Brown University Attack as Authorities Continue Manhunt for Gunman.

The pair of scholars who died in the recent mass shooting in Providence were being remembered Monday – while an intensive search for their shooter carried on following the freeing by local law enforcement of the single suspect of interest in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was remembered as “a wonderful, steady, devout, shining presence”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which offered condolences for her at a gathering on Sunday.

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his freshman year at the prestigious university, according to relatives.

The victim's identification was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He had big dreams of entering the field of neurosurgery and assisting patients,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a online post.
